After cutting her teeth in New York City at Viacom-MTV Creative Services and at Meeting and Conventions and Modern Bride magazines, Ellen struck out on her own, headed south, and brought her creative competence and business savvy to Washington, D.C., where she founded GRAPHEK. Freely exercising her creative competence and business savvy has translated into 20 years of bringing conceptual and integrated collateral materials to life for non-profit, association and private-sector clients.
Emboldened by her knack for communicating and setting clear expectations for every project, Ellen has defined herself as a cut-to-the-chase designer who can hone in on a project’s purpose and intent rather than just illustrating a pretty picture. The end result is a visual solution that packs a punch with target audiences.
Ellen graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication design with a minor in photography.
Ellen enjoys spending time with her three teenage daughters—and learning the latest trends—cooking authentic Korean food and enjoying a gin martini straight-up.
