Volta Voices is a quarterly magazine focused on building community around adults and children with hearing loss, published by the Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell). With audio professionals also in mind, the magazine helps individuals and families with hearing loss navigate resources, understand emerging technology and explore best practices—all with the goal of ensuring that every child and adult with hearing loss has the opportunity to listen, talk and thrive in mainstream society.
Having redesigned the entire Volta Voices magazine from cover to cover, GRAPHEK’s work with AG Bell stands as a celebration of creative freedom. Our custom illustrations and eye-catching artwork have been nearly as essential to the magazine’s success as its editorial content. For every issue, GRAPHEK creates Volta Voices’ custom covers to draw readers in; designs unique layouts for each feature story to enhance readability; and fills the pages with illustrations done in-house to help highlight new findings, key facts and important quotes that are hallmarks of the magazine. AG Bell members have come to expect issues that are as beautiful as they are informative, and the team at GRAPHEK never tires of experimenting with different design directions, color schemes and creative concepts that play such an enormous role in bringing the gift of sound to Volta Voices’ readers.
